Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the things people ask most about tracking bonuses in the app.
How do I mark a bonus as paid once I've received it?
Two ways. Quickest: on the accounts list, press and hold the account's card and tap “Mark Bonus Received.” Or open the account, go to the Activity tab, tap the “+” button, and set the type to “Bonus Paid.” Either one logs the bonus and updates the account's status.
Can I change the date a bonus was paid? It keeps using today.
Yes. The quick “Mark Bonus Received” shortcut uses today's date, but you can set any date from the Activity tab: tap “+,” choose “Bonus Paid,” and pick the exact date with the date picker before saving. This is handy when you're back-entering bonuses you earned months ago.
How do I record the date I closed an account?
Open the account, go to the Activity tab, tap “+,” and choose the “Account Closed” event type. The date picker lets you select the exact day you closed it. That close date is what powers the “Eligible Again” countdown, so it's worth setting accurately.
How does “Eligible Again” know when I can churn the same bonus again?
Each account has an “Eligible Again” rule made of an amount, a unit, and an anchor — for example “1 year after account closed.” Banks often phrase their eligibility rules this way in the offer terms because it's easier than committing to an exact date, so the app mirrors that: you set the amount, unit, and anchor (signed up, bonus paid, or account closed), and it calculates the exact date for you. If you anchor it to “account closed,” be sure to log the Account Closed date so the app can count forward from it. You'll find the calculated date shown right on the account's footer.
I already met a requirement in the past — how do I mark it complete?
The app tracks most requirements automatically from the activity you log (direct deposits, debit transactions, balance, etc.), so logging those events with their real dates will move the requirement to met. For tasks like online-banking enrollment, e-statements, or custom requirements, you can flip the “Completed” toggle directly in the account editor.
Can I track a number of transactions, like 10 debit purchases?
Yes. Add a “Debit Transactions” requirement and set the required count (and an optional per-transaction minimum, plus an option to exclude ATM withdrawals). As you log debit transactions on the Activity tab, the requirement shows your running progress toward the target.
What's the difference between Requirements and the Checklist?
Requirements are the structured, bonus-driving tasks the app tracks toward your payout — things like direct deposits, minimum balances, or debit counts. The Checklist is a lightweight place for loose one-off reminders (“call to confirm the promo code,” “order checks”). They live in separate tabs and are tracked independently of each other.
How do I add a bonus from a link?
Use Smart Add: paste the offer's web link and let the app scan it for the bonus details. For best results, link directly to the page that shows the offer terms rather than a login or generic landing page. You can always add a bonus by hand with the “+” button, which works for any offer.
Is there a limit to how many bonuses I can track?
Without a subscription, you can track up to 3 accounts for free. With a subscription, that cap goes away — you get unlimited accounts, plus full insights and charts, reminders and calendar events, and photo/document attachments. If a link won't scan, that's not related to the account limit; just add the bonus manually with the “+” button and you're good to go.
How do I delete an account?
Two ways. On the accounts list, press and hold the account's card and choose Delete. Or open the account, go to the edit screen, and choose Delete from there. Either way, deleting removes the account and its history permanently. If you'd rather keep the record but hide it from your active list, use “Close Account” instead.
